Mapel Textile has decided to make an active commitment to the planet by expanding its product offering every day with the use of ecological materials.
This idea made it possible to design articles in recycled polyester, deriving from the recovery of plastic bottles (PET), with the aim of contributing to sustainable consumption and the circular economy. The recycled polyester yarn can in fact be used for the production of all the families of our products, such as ribbons, strings, elastic bands and labels.
The recycled polyester yarn used by our company is certified by the Global Recycled Standard (G.R.S.), a voluntary product standard that monitors the entire production flow and verifies the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard covers the entire supply chain and covers traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and product labelling of an entire supply chain.
G.R.S. does not exclude any detail and affects every possible aspect of the product (such as the production, packaging, labelling, marketing and distribution of all manufactured items) and to certify it requires that all its products have at least 20% recycled material.
